Ball Mill Machine for Chocolate Production
A ball mill chocolate machine is a commonly used fine grinding device that evenly mixes raw materials such as chocolate powder, powdered sugar, and cocoa butter, and refines them into a smooth chocolate paste. This helps improve the quality of chocolate products. Through the friction of steel balls, the chocolate particles are ground to the desired particle size to obtain a smooth chocolate paste.
The fineness and particle size of the chocolate paste can be controlled by adjusting parameters such as the spacing of the steel balls and the rotation speed.

The equipment operates smoothly with low noise, suitable for continuous operation over extended periods, helping to ensure a more stable and efficient production process.
Food-Grade Stainless Steel Construction
The entire machine is constructed of stainless steel, offering excellent hygiene, easy cleaning and maintenance, and meeting the safety requirements for food processing equipment.
Flexible Adjustable Speed
Supports speed adjustment, allowing for flexible adjustments based on different grinding processes and product formulations, broadening its applicability.
Compact and Large-Capacity Design
The equipment has a compact structure, occupying little space while possessing a large capacity, helping to improve production efficiency per unit area.
The Working Process of a Ball Mill Chocolate Machine
1. Crushing through compression and impact:
As the ball mill rotates, steel balls move continuously within the mixing cylinder. The cylinder wall and the steel balls, as well as the steel balls themselves, continuously generate compression and collisions, subjecting the material to strong impact and gradually crushing it.
2. Friction grinding and refining:
During continuous operation, the material is repeatedly subjected to friction and grinding between the steel balls, continuously refining the particles. The overall fineness gradually decreases, and the texture becomes more uniform.
3. Slurry refinement and shaping:
After a long grinding process, the material particles become increasingly fine, eventually being ground into a smooth and silky slurry, meeting the requirements for subsequent chocolate processing and blending.
During the grinding process, the friction between the steel balls generates heat, so a water cooling system is needed to ensure the syrup is not overheated and spoiled.
Gondor’s chocolate machines are equipped with a temperature control system to ensure stable production.
Chocolate Ball Mill Ball Count
The number of steel balls depends on the capacity of the ball mill, the size of the steel balls, and their specific gravity.
Generally, the weight of the steel balls should be 1.5 to 2 times the weight of the chocolate mixture.
